239 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine TRANSPORTATION Duringhis 23-year tenure in theUnitedStatesArmy, KevinDale Safley worked as a mechanic, thereby introducing him to the world of automobiles. Serving in the Army and the Army National Guard, he also served overseas in Iraq for two years. He retired from the military at the rank of first sergeant in 2017. During his military service, he notably worked for several corporations in administrative and repair positions, serving from 2010 to 2011 as an inventory specialist and executive assistant for the LKE Corporation. For the following two years, he was the owner and maintenance repair manager for Safley’s LLC while concurrently serving as chief executive officer of Cottman Transmission and Total Auto Care. Thereafter, Mr. Safley was a diesel technician for the Jubitz Corporation, shop manager for Pavement Maintenance, Inc., and Wrench Works, and mechanic for Westech Construction. Prior to attaining his current role, he was a mechanic for TerraFirma Foundation Systems. Since 2018, Mr. Safley has excelled as the owner and secretary of DBA Town Center Automotive. Drawing upon a bachelor’s equivalent degree in mechanical engineering, Mr. Safley also completed coursework with the Automotive Service Association. He has maintained membership with his local Chamber of Commerce, the LeTip Referral Company, SCORE and the NSDA Leadership Council, among other organizations. Noting that he was influenced by his parents, who were involved in administrative roles while he was coming of age, Mr. Safley also enjoyed muscle cars in his youth. He emphasizes that his transition into entrepreneurship in the automotive industry was a natural progression. Among other accolades, Mr. Safley has received multiple Service Awards for his time spent in Iraq as a military serviceman. Although his career has been filled with highlights, he is especially proud of opening a second shop location amid the coronavirus pandemic, starting from two employees to now having 12 employees. Looking forward, he would like to establish an additional shop while employing a more relaxed position within his company.
