80 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION While coming of age, Pamela S. Rohdenburg was influenced by her older cousin, who was a special education teacher. Understanding that there were little services provided for students with disabilities, Ms. Rohdenburg sought to pursue the same path. After earning her undergraduate degree, she received a MA in communication disorders and special education from the University of Central Florida in 2002. Currently, she has excelled as a special education teacher for Seminola County Schools in Florida. Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Rohdenburg served as a behavioral assistant and a private tutor, among other pronounced roles. Engaged civically in her community as well, she has also been a tutor for various church and community organizations and is active in her local PTA. She attributes her success to her diligent work ethic and perseverance, as well as her belief that teaching was her calling. Looking toward the future, Ms. Rohdenburg would like to be in a district role in which she can mentor emerging educators in professional development. Likewise, she intends to serve in the English curriculum department, where she can work directly with other teachers. SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER Seminola County Schools Apopka, FL Drawing upon more than 50 years of expertise in teaching and athletic coaching, Charles Smith Jr. has excelled as a teacher of advanced mathematics and trigonometry at Peabody Magnet High School since 1975. Additionally, he has served as the head coach of boys’ basketball at the high school since 1985. During the course of his career, he impressively gained the most game wins in the State of Louisiana, totaling 1,087 wins to date. His pronounced efforts and accomplishments were the subject of the documentary “Chasing 1,000 Wins” in 2017, for which he served as co-writer and producer. Mr. Smith was inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, Louisiana Coaches Hall of Fame and National High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame for his teaching and coaching prowess. Prior to embarking on his career, Mr. Smith received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Paul Quinn College and a master’s degree in education from Northwestern State University. Demonstrating versatility, he is the author of “In My Footsteps” in 2018. Married to his wife, Rosa, with two children, Camacia and Kedric, Mr. Smith attributes his successes to the encouragement of his family.
