Beginning in 1956, he served Rogers Taylor & Co., Coldwell Banker Commercial Benchmark, Childers Commercial Properties and Pat Mill Appraisers. He is past president of the Jacksonville Historical Society, Jacksonville Civic Round Table and was elected twice to Jacksonville’s Civil Service Board, where he was chairman in 1969. He was a CIC Officer in the U.S. Navy on the USS Wiltsie from 1954 to 1956. Mr. Rogers was named Florida Land Realtor of the Year in 2014. In 1967, he was recognized with Jacksonville Deal of the Year. He is notable for dancing in the “Nutcracker” ballet, accompanied by the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, for 43 years and pictured in Harvard Magazine in November-December 2015.
