Drawing upon prior coursework at Honolulu Community College, Mr. Cao is a licensed contractor specializing in cabinetry. Civically engaged as well, he has spent his time during the coronavirus pandemic by donating a myriad of masks, protective clothing and PPE materials to the citizens of Hawaii. Mr. Cao also does real estate development business while he runs Golden Cabinets & Stone. Multiple real estate development projects have been finished by him over the past 10 years. Mr. Cao was the first-place winner as the Top Kitchen Cabinet Store by Hawaii’s Best People’s Choice Awards between 2005 and 2021. He received a Certificate of Commendation and Certificate of Achievement from the City and County of Honolulu. He was named an Outstanding Young Successful Businessman by the Hawaii United Chinese Association. Early on in his career, Wayne Cao worked with his father in new home construction, thereby introducing him to the overwhelming demand of cabinetry in various construction projects. Though he worked formally in the retail and hospitality industries, Mr. Cao soon diverted his attention to cabinetry and leveraged his experience working with his father in establishing his own cabinet business. Since 2007, he has excelled as the president, chief executive officer and owner of Golden Cabinets & Stone, Inc., in Honolulu. Experiencing much success over its 15-year existence, Mr. Cao’s business was recently expanded to provide a new, extensive showroom to improve the customer experience and offer a broader range of products. As such, the company’s success has allowed it to grow from a 4,000-square-foot warehouse and showroom to its current 70,000-squarefoot operation, which now includes space for products and customer interaction with myriad employees.
