FOWLER As the product developer of Dynamotion, Rodney C. Fowler desired to leverage his new technology in an effort to aid patients who are in the recovery stages of stroke or those who have seizures after strokes. Discovering a dire need for a product that would help range of motion exercises in stroke survivors, he holds a provisional patent on Dynamotion and is currently seeking a manufacturer to build the electronic components of the device. Always a mechanically minded individual, Mr. Fowler has created numerous prototypes of Dynamotion over the years and hopes that his device will be used in hospitals, nursing facilities and even the comfort of a patient’s own home. The recipient of a diploma from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, Mr. Fowler previously served in numerous industries prior to developing his new technology. Notably, he has acted as a caregiver for in-home support services and served a constructional engineering company for nine years. In prior years, he was a military serviceman in Zimbabwe. Crediting his success to his vision and determination, Mr. Fowler intends for Dynamotion to be distributed across the globe. Fascinated by molecular biology and its relation to human functionality, Dr. David A. Gooray has been serving Prince George’s Hospital Center in Cheverly, Maryland, as faculty in the Internal Medicine Residency Program since 1990 and as chairman of the Research Committee since 2013. A former chief of cardiology at the hospital center from 2003 to 2013, he previously excelled as an instructor in medicine at Howard University Medical Services, a medical officer in the Alcohol Detoxification Unit with the U.S. Department of Human Resources and a research associate at the Howard University College of Medicine, where he commenced his career in 1974. The recipient of an MD from the Howard University College of Medicine in 1980, Dr. Gooray completed his medical training at the District of Columbia General Hospital in 1983. He has authored or coauthored numerous articles to medical journals, and was elected a fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Chest Physicians. In light of his success, he received the 2012 Outstanding Physician Award from Prince George’s Hospital Center and the 1981-1982 Outstanding Resident Award from the Howard University College of Medicine.
