Mr. Sharbani went on to work for 12 years as a project engineer. For six years, he managed 60 engineers and designers at a nuclear power plant design firm. As his career progressed, he managed numerous projects across the nation. Once the nuclear industry was shut down, he delved into the construction industry, where his skills and passions came together. Since 1984, Mr. Sharbani has excelled as the chief executive officer of Express Contracting and Elite Kitchen & Bath in Manhasset, New York, two luxury design and build firms. His son, David, has worked with him for over three decades, and now runs the day-to-day operations. Mr. Sharbani enjoys the culmination of everything he loves, including art, architecture, engineering and a passion to help others. He takes great pride in designing and building beautiful, comfortable homes for his clients. Described as a forward-thinking entrepreneur, he values integrity, honesty, commitment to his clients and accountability. Mr. Sharbani volunteered on the board of the New York Virtuosi Chamber Symphony Orchestra, and served as the president for several years. Their goal was to promote the musical arts to the public at cost-efficient prices. His highlight included introducing the orchestra to play at the United Nations General Assembly Hall. In light of his success, Mr. Sharbani was awarded the National First Place Winner IDS Designer of the Year in 2015. He won nine NARI Platinum and Gold awards for contractor of the year. Looking toward the future, he intends to expand upon his language skills and learn Russian. He has also begun his very colorful autobiography. He never lets any difficulty stop him from achieving his goals. A native of Baghdad, Iraq, Yeheskel H. Sharbani was driven out of Iraq and fled to Israel. After serving as a paratrooper in the Israeli Army and spending several years as a member of the Young Kibbutz, he decided to explore the world and landed in the United States.
