Likewise, during this time she completed a pharmacy internship at CVS, working there from 2008 to 2013. Subsequently, Dr. Pruskowski completed two years of postgraduate training at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center as a PGY1 pharmacy practice resident and at the University of Maryland Medical Center as a PGY2 critical care pharmacy resident. During that time, she provided clinical services to various units, such as the medical, trauma, surgical and cardiac surgical intensive care units, as well as precepted student pharmacists between 2015 and 2016. Since 2016, Dr. Pruskowski has flourished as a clinical pharmacist in burn critical care at the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. In her role, she is responsible for the inpatient pharmacy functions of the burn center, provides therapeutic consultations toassist patients with complex medical problems, and leads research and improvement projects geared toward innovative patient care. Additionally, she established a therapy dog program at the U.S. Army Burn Center. During her tenure, she has also contributed tomyriad presentations and abstracts to medical journals, including the International Journal of Burns and Trauma and the Journal of Burn Care and Research. Remaining abreast of developments, Dr. Pruskowski has continued her education with certifications in pharmacotherapy and critical care pharmacy, as well as in basic life support and advanced life support through the American Red Cross. She also holds an APhA pharmacybased immunization delivery certification and Psych 911 Psychological First Aid training. Dr. Pruskowski earned the Commander’s Time Off Award from the U.S. Army Burn Center in 2019 and was honored in the Top Five Abstracts by the American Burn Association in 2020. Leveraging an innate desire to enter the health care industry from a formative age, Dr. Kaitlin A. Pruskowski focused her efforts on pharmaceutical sciences. While earning a BS in pharmaceutical and health care studies, cum laude, from the University of the Sciences in 2012, she concurrently completed a six-year PharmD KAITLIN A.
