188 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine LAW AND LAW ENFORCEMENT After retiring from the U.S. Air Force, Dennis DeMey joined the New Jersey police force in 1967, where he remained until 1973. During this time, he served in the Narcotics Division and testified in court, which thoroughly impressed various attorneys when they read his reports. Hired to do civil cases shortly thereafter, these attorneys became his mentors and encouraged him to develop his own business in law enforcement. As such, Mr. DeMey established Adam Safeguard in 1973, where he currently serves as chief executive officer. Over the course of his longstanding tenure, he has been recognized extensively as a published author, expert witness and consultant with profound expertise in litigation investigations and discovery. Notably, Mr. DeMey has been involved in over 25,000 medical malpractice cases and has appeared on television and radio shows across the nation. He has been a guest on more than 100 radio broadcasts in light of his registered product, “The Forensic Abstract,” which is a method by which to identify fraudulent claims. He also holds certifications in techniques of alcohol management, breathalyzer operations and as a private detective. He graduated from the New Jersey State Police Academy in 1968 and received a New Jersey State Police Instructor Certification in 2014. Among his myriad books, Mr. DeMey has authored “Model Policy Criminal Intelligence” in 2003, “25 Lessons for Employee Management” in 2001, “Don’t Hire a Crook” in 1999 and “Model Policy: Multi-Agency Investigative Team” in 1994. Additionally, he penned “The Guide to Litigation Management” in 1991, as well as a plethora of guidelines on improving automatic criminal history records on a national scale. He has further testified at every level of every court across the United States. A member of the Toms River chapter of the Grand Lodge Order of Elks, Mr. DeMey received their Distinguished Citizen of the Year Award in 2018 and 2019. He is also a former corporate member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Looking forward, he intends to continue writing and secure a financial future for his family.
