While attending Brown University for his undergraduate studies, Daniel A. Neff became interested in law and its relation to society upon being introduced to the discipline by a terrific professor. Graduating magna cum laude with a BA in 1974, he then attended the Columbia Law School and received a JD in 1977, where he was also the notes and comments editor for the Columbia Law Review. Upon his law admittance in New York State, he joined the firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in 1977, where he now excels as partner and the co-chairman of the Executive Committee. In his dual roles, Mr. Neff is recognized extensively as a corporate and securities lawyer, where he focuses his attention on mergers and acquisitions and advice to boards of directors and board committees.
