198 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine LAW AND LAW ENFORCEMENT A professional accountant for more than 40 years, Vaughn Quince Wolfolk Major served as an agent with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for 23 years from 1987 until his retirement in 2010. First serving as a field accountant for Robert Half Accountemps of New York beginning in 1983, he then became a staff auditor for Lucas, Tucker and Co. and an internal auditor for the Freedom National Bank of New York. Prior to taking on his role with the IRS, he was a senior accountant with Loeb and Troper of New York. Additionally, he was an adjunct professor at Baruch College from 1993 to 1997. Mr. Major holds a BS in business administration, business management and accounting from Nathaniel Hawthorne College and MS in accounting from the Walter E. Heller College of Business Administration. A former sergeant of the U.S. Marine Corps, he earned a Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal, among other military accolades. Additionally, he received the Gallatin Award for Distinguished Service from the U.S. Department of the Treasury in 2010. Neuer, Esq., watched “Perry Mason,” which inspired him to delve into law. He received a BBA from the Baruch School of the City College of New York in 1968, followed by a JD from Seton Hall University in 1976. Admitted to practice in New Jersey, he began his career as an assistant town attorney for West Orange, New Jersey, followed by positions with Margolis & Bergstein, Slavitt & Slavitt, Mandelbaum & Targan, and Margolis Neuer, where he served as partner from 1984 to 1991. Subsequently, he served of counsel for Slavitt Simon & Neuer and for Lum, Danzis, Drasco, Positan & Kleinberg, LLC. Since 1993, he has excelled as executive vice president and general counsel for the Safer Textiles Group of Safer Development and Management Co. Alongside his primary endeavors, Mr. Neuer is an adjunct professor at the Schack Institute of New York University and Rutgers Law School. A mediator for the Superior Court of New Jersey, he is also a Master of Corporate Real Estate.
