228 SOCIAL SERVICES AND NONPROFIT Since 2004, Kenneth W. Braswell has excelled as the chief executive officer of Fathers Incorporated in Atlanta, Georgia. Recognized as an award-winning nonprofit organization that dedicates their time to providing organizational services and development to fathers and their families, Fathers Incorporated has notably worked with leaders in governmental and faith-based fields, including at The White House, U.S. Congress, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The organization collaborates closely with other organizations across the nation to advocate for social and legislative changes in relation to improving paternal involvement with children. Becoming involved in the social services community after working for the Empire State New York African American Arts Festival in the 1990s, Mr. Braswell developed a strong passion for working with others and community service. He received the Small Businessman Award in 2020, the Corporate Citizenship Award in 2021 and was named a Black Enterprise Man of Distinction. Additionally, Mr. Braswell was honored among 40 Under 40 by the Albany Business Council and obtained the Manifest Award from Ebony Magazine. Looking forward, he intends to grow his nonprofit to a national level. CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Fathers Incorporated Sandy Springs, GA Since 2016, Riva Lee Green has excelled as the founder of Bordered Poetry Room: Women of Purpose on Domestic Violence, an organization that advocates for the safety and equity of women who are abuse survivors, as well as serves as an arena for women to tell their stories. Prior to establishing Bordered Poetry Room, Ms. Green was a pastor in New Jersey for over six years, having been ordained to the ministry in 1995. Likewise, she worked throughout New Jersey with SalemCountyWomen’s Services as a caseworker, the State of New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services as a family service specialist III, and the Juvenile Justice Commission in the director’s office. Additionally, since 2019, Ms. Green has maintained membership with the Women’s Christian Temperance Union, a worldwide organization that deals with outreach, legislation and media regarding the prevention and abstinence from alcohol, drugs and tobacco. Outside of her primary endeavors, she volunteered with the National Guard Christmas Banquet in Halifax, Virginia, in 2016. She is the author of “The Three R’s of Domestic Violence” under Riva L. Green, as well as “My Life and My Struggles” and “The Fighting Rose” under the penname Faith Divine.
