She has maintained a podcast and a blog (https://notsosimpletruths.com) since 2021, and authored the book “Generation L(OST): Learning, Leveraging and Living Lessons for a Successful Life” in 2021. In 2020, she penned “The Chosen Ones” through Micro Publishing Media, having formerly written op-ed articles on sports in The New York Times in the early 1990s. While contributing her time to her writing ventures, Ms. Luciano served as an educator in various subjects at Cathedral High School from 1978 to 1992, Ardsley Middle School from 1993 to 1994 and the Tuckahoe Union Free School District from 1995 to 1997. Utilizing her talents, she taught subjects ranging from television production and film to English and theater classes. She draws upon a BA in communications studies, journalism and media from Fordham University and an MS in secondary English education from Iona College. She holds a teaching certification for secondary English for grades seven through 12 by the New York State Department of Education. Maintaining affiliation with the Connecticut Authors and Publishers Association, Ms. Luciano delved into her career early on, noting that her interest in writing stemmed from a young age. Deciding thereafter to pursue a career in teaching, she is especially proud of her contributions to all of her students’ successes. Impressively, she developed a middle school digital literacy program, which she cites as a career highlight. To attest to her success, Ms. Luciano was listed in Who’s Who of Authors by Cengage in 2019 and won a nonfiction writing contest in 2015. She also received accolades for her book “The Chosen Ones” and a National Award for Excellence in Educational TV Programming. Looking forward, she intends to continue writing. For 40 years, Lisa Anne Luciano excelled as a middle and high school educator before retiring from academia in 2020. Most recently serving as a television studio director, English and digital literacy teacher, and library media specialist for Louis M.
