Mr. Wolfe has been a prolific and contrarian writer on corporate governance with an emphasis on the board’s primary role of maximizing shareholder value. He is the author of the book “Governance Arbitrage: Blowing Up the Public Company Governance Model to Maximize Long-Term Shareholder Value.” Mr. Wolfe’s articles have been published in Institutional Investor’s “Journal of Private Equity,” “The Corporate Board,” “ValueWalk,” “The Conference Board Blog,” “Corporate Compliance Insights,” “Boardroom INSIDER,” and “Directors & Boards.” In addition, he has written chapters for the first and second editions of “The Handbook of Board Governance.” After observing the complacency and underperformance of his family’s business, Henry D. Wolfe discovered how critical corporate governance is in company performance and value creation. In 1979, he founded and remains chairman of DaVega & Wolfe Industries Inc., an investment vehicle focused on underperforming companies. As an entrepreneur and activist investor, he has been a catalyst to unlock significant shareholder value and improve competitiveness of several underperforming companies via board and management restructuring and replacement. He has served on the boards of numerous companies, including as Vice Chairman of Arctic Glacier Group Holdings Inc. and as Chairman of NLS Animal Health, All Seasons Ice, Sifco Industries, Inc., Riverview Holdings, Ready’s Ice Co. Inc., JHJ Inc., and Furchgott’s, Inc., among others. Currently, Mr. Wolfe is a member of the board of Rapid Displays Parent, Inc., a Gemspring Capital portfolio company engaged in the custom design, assembly, fabrication, production and distribution of permanent and temporary retail displays and Advocate Strategic Investments, a Melbourne, Australia, activist investment firm.
