Likewise, he was a dental director at Mid America Health and an assistant professor of clinical surgery and chief of education in general practice residencies at the University of Miami. In his native Brazil, he was a dentist and administrator at DentalMedical/Dental Clinic, a health unit coordinator and dentist for Cascavel County in Ceara, Brazil, and a teaching assistant of stomatology, special patient care and oral pathology at the Federal University of Ceara School of Dentistry beginning in 1997. Dr. Oliveira Filho holds dental licenses in Ohio, Virginia and Florida, and is board certified by the American Dental Association. Outside of his primary endeavors, he has been an external affiliate instructor at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry since 2012 and a guest professor at the University of Miami since 2009. Furthermore, he has presented at national and international conferences. A fellow of the International College of Oral Implantation, Dr. Oliveira Filho has received accolades from the International Congress of Implantology, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Consumer’s Research Council of America, among other organizations. From an early age, Dr. Jayme A. Oliveira Filho desired to help others in a medical capacity. Realizing that being a physician would not suit him, he chose the field of dentistry to not only aid patients, but also remain in the field of health care.
