Harrison Jr. joined the Defense Mapping Agency (DMA) in 1979, where he first served as chief of the visual information division. Remaining in that role until 1993, he then excelled as chief of Command Information East, Graphics Presentations II, between 1993 and 1995. Since 1995, he has flourished as chief of HQ visual information. Earlier in his career, Mr. Harrison served as a visual information specialist for the U.S. Government Printing Office, publications specialist for the Maryland National Capital Park & Planning Commission, arts and crafts instructor for the Department of the Army, and art director for Corporate Press, Inc. He was a military policeman for the U.S. Army Military Police Corps in Germany and Turkey for two years. Mr. Harrison holds a BFA from the University of Maryland at College Park and MS in public affairs and public relations from American University. He maintains membership with Veterans of Foreign Wars and has received myriad accolades from the DMA since 1980, including Sustained Superior Performance Awards, a Commendation for Sustained Superior Performance, Special Act Awards and Performance Awards. He was named Outstanding Employee of the Year in 1985. CHIEF OF HQ VISUAL INFORMATION Defense Mapping Agency Beltsville, MD With a family heritage involved in local politics, Dr. Willie Johnson Jr. decided to run for county supervisor of the 13th district of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, after being informed that the seat for District 13 was open. Beating his opponent by a 60% to 40% lead, Dr. Johnson became the 13th district county supervisor for the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors in 2000, where he remains today. Earlier in his career, he served the Financial Assistance and Child Welfare Divisions of the Milwaukee County Department of Human Services. Drawing upon a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Northwestern University in 1981, Dr. Johnson went on to continue his edification at the Wisconsin University of Theology, where he received a Master of Arts in humanities. After gaining considerable expertise in his field, he earned a PhD in humanities from the aforementioned institution in 2019. To attest to his success, Dr. Johnson was named a Small Business Champion by the Small Business Administration in 2015.
