139 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine FINANCE AND INSURANCE Immigrating to the United States from Shanghai, China, at a young age, Shijun Liu became fascinated by the U.S. stock market after witnessing its potential to help ordinary people build wealth over time. Industrious minded and always desiring to pave a successful path for himself, Mr. Liu graduated as valedictorian of Riverside High School in Durham, North Carolina, andwas accepted by Stanford University, where he earned a BS degree in Computer Systems Engineering in 2003. Subsequently, he became the manager of operations and technology for K.L. Hess Family Foundation, where he remained for two years before joining Parker Investment Management in Menlo Park, California, in 2005. Mr. Liu’s first role with Parker Investment Management was as an equity research analyst and equity trader between 2005 and 2011. For the following six years, he served as vice president and portfolio manager until 2017. Since elevating from those roles, Mr. Liu has served as the executive vice president of Parker Investment Management. As executive vice president, he has leveraged his unique background in mathematics and computer science to spearhead various growth initiatives at the company and has led and supervised the areas of portfolio management, trading, compliance and client facing responsibilities. A Certified Financial Planner™ through the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., Mr. Liu is also recognized as a Chartered Financial Analyst by the CFA Institute and holds a Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM®), also fromthe CFA Institute. Alongside these certifications, Mr. Liu is a Series 65 licensed financial advisor. Throughout his career, he has been especially proud to have helped families manage their finance and investments, deal with life-changing events, transfer wealth to the next generation, and establish and maintain legacies within their communities. To attest to his success, Mr. Liu was honored with the Five Star Wealth Management Award for San Francisco Bay Area Professionals in 2020 and 2021, which represents the top 2% of all candidates considered for the award.
