41 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT During his high school years, Arthur Wiederhold established a comic book company with his friends, titled “A Series of Underground Comics.” Although the company was short-lived, Mr. Wiederhold still held a desire to continue his efforts in the comic book and authorship industries. In 2017, he founded AW COMIX in Saint Louis, Missouri, where he offers a myriad of comic books to consumers across the region. Alongside this endeavor, Mr. Wiederhold excels as a freelance reporter and photographer, and has served the United States Postal Service since 1993. Earlier in his career, Mr. Wiederhold was involved in the United States Army from 1980 to 1984, where he was a specialist. After three years, he joined the United States Navy as a petty officer, serving in that position between 1987 and 1989. Demonstrating versatility in his field, he also served as a semi-professional baseball player for the New York Yankees for a period of time. Additionally, he has authored more than 35 books over his lifetime, including his first book, “The Adventure of Thule.” Mr. Wiederhold considers writing and publishing this book among the highlights of his career. For his efforts in writing, the United States Army honored him with an award. Additionally, Mr. Wiederhold was the creator of “Second Dawn” in the 1980s, which was a fantasy world game that became immensely popular among fantasy gamers. Civically involved as well, he has donated prolifically to various Native American organizations, as well as the Salvation Army. He draws upon an associate degree in history and journalism from Excelsior College, which he obtained in 1982. Mr. Wiederhold attributes his success to his determination and a little bit of luck. Growing up in New York, he learned quickly that he had to become self-determined and self-motivated to succeed, and his street smarts have propelled him forward in his respective industries.
