155 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine GOVERNMENT AND MILITARY CIVIL ENGINEERING PRODUCTION CONTROL TECHNICIAN (RETIRED) United States Air Force Lafayette, LA PAST COMMANDER Chapter 003, Disabled American Veterans Munfordville, KY LARRY CORMIER Interested in the armed forces from a young age, Larry Cormier enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served in several capacities until his retirement in 1990. Serving on Maxwell Air Force Base, he was a safety officer, first lieutenant, and E-5 staff sergeant, and also spent four years as a drill instructor and drill sergeant. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Cormier excelled as a civil engineering production control technician for 16 years. Earlier, he spent four years as a CSO 1 for the Arizona State Prison Complex in Florence, Arizona. He draws upon a prior AAS in arts, sciences, criminal justice and corrections from Troy State University. Alongside his primary endeavors, Mr. Cormier excelled as a drill instructor and drill sergeant with the Civil Air Patrol in Lafayette, Louisiana, from 2009 to 2011, and has been recognized as an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, through whom he has earned myriad Merit Badges. The author of more than 200 stories, as well as two published books, “See Fred the Cajun Angel” and “Leo the Cajun Big Foot,” Mr. Cormier intends to continue enjoying his retirement. James R. E. Healey served with the United States Navy for three decades between 1965 and 1995. First entering boot camp at the age of 19, he was subsequently appointed as a recruit squad leader. During his military career, he served in myriad capacities, including as an equipment operator for Naval Construction Battalions, a platoon leader, and an embarkation chief and Delta Company Chief. Prior to departing from the Navy, Mr. Healey completed three tours in Vietnam and five years living in Thailand. Following his departure, he served as a commander of Disabled American Veterans’ Chapter 003 Veterans Assistance Program and the second district commander for the Department of Kentucky. Drawing upon an associate degree from Palm Beach Junior College, Mr. Healey also holds a BA in business administration and human resources management and MS in environmental science from Barry University. To attest to his success, he was honored with The Golden Palm Award in 1994 and a Letter of Appreciation from the Board of County Commissioners in Florida. Most recently, he was named JPSM Distinguished Lecturer in 2019 in light of his work in education between 2017 and 2019. JAMES R. E. HEALEY
