Over the course of his longstanding career, which spanned over the course of more than four decades, Dr. Peters worked for the Optimax Clinic and Dolland & Aitchison Ltd. In the United Kingdom, as well as for Trevor Woodhams in Atlanta, Georgia, where he set his attention on refractive surgery. Notably, he obtained a U.S. green card as a result of his innovative work in refractive surgery, which led to his roles in Atlanta. Additionally, Dr. Peters owned three private optometry practices and was a public speaker for the “Psychology of Hypnotism.” He has also served as a reviewer to Optometry, Optician and Optometry Today, among many other medical journals and publications. Furthermore, he has maintained affiliation with the American Optometric Association. Subsequent to retiring from the field of optometry, Dr. Peters pursued his passion for the written word, having boasted interest in futuristic and political stories. Publishing his first book “Download: An Alternative Story of Noah & His Ark” in 2007, he is presently in the process of writing its sequel, “Upload,” which discusses the alternate story of the future. Likewise, Dr. Peters has written many works for Writer’s Digest. Looking forward, he intends to become a well-established author within the genre of political commentary. Dr. Peters was elected the Conservative Borough Counselor to Barnet Borough in North London in 1978 and is a former secretary to the Knightsbridge Speaker’s Club in London. Although his career has been suffused with highlights, he is especially proud of helping a partially blind woman regain her sight, resulting in her no longer needing a walking stick or seeing-eye dog. Dr. Howard J. Peters was inspired to pursue the field of optometry by his late uncle, who notably excelled as a pioneering figure in the world of visual services in the late 1940s through his work in mass producing the first series of contact lenses to the public in the United Kingdom.
