Gentz served Pella Windows in Pella, Iowa, for numerous decades before his retirement. Most recently serving as the cost center manager, he is especially proud of doubling the production of Pella Windows upon being hired by the company. As a result of his outstanding success, he was recognized by the president of Pella Windows. Subsequently, he completed seven hours of an industrial psychological assessment to ensure his promotion into a management role. During his tenure with Pella Windows, Mr. Gentz witnessed the growth of the company fromone site to several sites across the nation. Currently, Pella Windows hosts a total of 13 plants throughout Iowa, Ohio and California, among other U.S. states. Proud of the success of Pella Windows during his career with the company, Mr. Gentz felt humbled to take a management position, as he notes that the industry is constantly changing and, as a result, he desired to remain abreast of those changes. Earlier in his career, Mr. Gentz pursued formal coursework at North Iowa Community College, from which he received an associate degree in 1962. Thereafter, he completed additional coursework in electronics for three years, coursework in basic and advanced machinists, and coursework in public speaking. He notably graduated from the Federal Communications Commission, as well, and attended seminars in management at the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Gentz is a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Civically involved as well, he has maintained affiliation with the Eagle’s Club. As a testament to his efforts in the industry, he has received numerous accolades, including the Carnegie Award in 1975 and an Excellence Award for his improvements at Pella Windows. Looking toward the future, Mr. Gentz intends to continue enjoying his well-deserved retirement. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and riding his motorcycle. CHARLES W.
