107 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENTREPRENEURS Malek Amrani graduated from high school at the age of 16 and, subsequently, traveled to West Africa to pursue a career in medicine. Drawing upon a formative love of winemaking, he discovered that although he did well in his medical school courses, it was not the right fit for his skill set. Immigrating to the United States shortly thereafter, Mr. Amrani focused his time and energy on the wine industry, flourishing as an executive in the field all before the age of 25. Since 2016, he has excelled as the founder and winemaker of The Vice Wines. A luxury wine brand that operates out of Napa, Los Angeles and New York, The Vice Wines has been acclaimed by such publications as Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast. During its first year of business, The Vice Wines produced 500 cases of wine and, since its inception, the business has produced more than 25,000 cases with 70 different batches of Napa Valley wine. Mr. Amrani regularly visits Napa Valley, California, to oversee the winemaking business and specializes his operations on affordability and quality of his wine. Looking toward the future of The Vice Wines, Mr. Amrani intends to establish a tasting room in Napa Valley, as well as export his exquisite wine across the globe. He attributes much of his success to the support of his wife, who also plays a poignant role at the business. Currently, she excels as a marketing and operations specialist for The Vice Wines, where she leverages her likeminded nature to be the brains of the business. Outside of his primary endeavors, Mr. Amrani is a volunteer for triathlons for young adults and grown adults, and he himself has participated in myriad triathlons, duathlons and aquathons. Earning a sommelier certification in 2010, he sits on the Napa Valley Vintners Committee and maintains membership with the USA Triathlon Foundation.
