Looking toward the future, Mr. Ehlert intends to expand University Burger and his food truck business, providing meals to more community members and giving them opportunities to better themselves and realign the trajectory of their lives. Growing up exposed to the culinary arts, Sean D. Ehlert has been involved in the industry for more than 20 years. For more than two years, he has excelled as the owner of University Burger in Bozeman, Montana, having purchased the business from its former owners upon their retirement. Mr. Ehlert notes that through University Burger, he discovered his own love and passion for fast, casual dining and presentation. Alongside running the daily operations and cooking for University Burger, he also owns a food truck that has been met with equal success. Drawing upon prior coursework in art and graphic design, Mr. Ehlert leverages his two businesses to help his local community. Through University Burger, he sponsors various hockey teams in the region, as well as several bicycle athletes and mountain bicycle riders. Furthermore, he has frequently donated meals to the Blueprint Program, which is a transitional housing program for high school students who do not have a stable living environment.
