Likewise, Mr. Zielinski enjoys donating blood and has, to date, donated more than 15 gallons of blood. Although his career has been suffused with highlights, Mr. Zielinski emphasizes that his greatest achievements have been on a personal level, as he has completed marathons in every U.S. state beginning in 2005. In his spare time, he enjoys playing on computers, exercising and attending his local church. Looking toward the future, Mr. Zielinski intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career. Additionally, he would like to continue helping others in his community and live every day in the present moment. Born, raised and residing currently in Mount Prospect, Illinois, Mr. Zielinski has one brother, one niece and one nephew. Interested in numbers and accounting from a formative age, Michael E. Zielinski attended the University of Illinois UrbanaChampaign, where he received a Bachelor of Science in accounting in 1981. Following his receipt of his bachelor’s degree, he commenced his career in 1982 as a revenue agent for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) at the United States Treasury. Serving in this role for several years, Mr. Zielinski then served as an operating accountant at the Securities and Exchange Commission between 1985 and 1986, whereupon he returned to the IRS. Since that time, he has excelled as a revenue agent, in which he draws upon nearly 40 years of experience in the field. During his career in accounting, Mr. Zielinski has conducted numerous audits and has developed much renown in his field for his expertise in financial analysis, tax preparation and policy analysis, among other subspecialties in accounting. Alongside his primary endeavors, he has maintained affiliation with the Delta Sigma Phi honor society and has also contributed to his MICHAEL E.
