Baird attended Texas Tech University to pursue engineering and construction. Upon realizing that hismedical problemsmay prevent him from performing within those industries, Mr. Baird’s father encouraged him to pursue the field of law. Heeding his father’s advice, he graduated from Texas Tech with a BA in political science in 1975. He subsequently attended the University of Texas School of Law, receiving a JD in 1977. Mr. Baird joined the firm of Baird, Crews, Schiller & Whitaker, P.C., in Temple, Texas, in 1978, where he has since excelled as a founding shareholder. In addition, he leads the firm’s estate planning, business entities, family business succession planning and real estate practices.
