255 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine After graduating with her bachelor’s degree in 1982, Susan Schof Adam commenced her career in information technology. During this time, she notably owned her own business in software consulting before working for Oracle as a practice manager and practice director for federal civilian customers. In 1990, she earned a master’s degree from Tulane University and, shortly thereafter, worked in the information technology department for Entergy Services for a number of years. Since 2018, Ms. Adam has excelled as a manager of customer solutions for Entergy Services in New Orleans. Ms. Adam notes that she has cultivated fantastic partnerships in information technology, and she was integral in development Entergy Services’ mobile application. For her success in the field, she has earned a number of accolades, including a Communications Award and Best Mobile App Award in 2021. Additionally, she received a Gold Award for communications in 2020. Early on in her life, Ms. Adam was exposed to technology as her father founded his own computer service bureau with IBM. During this time, she was in the sixth grade; such technology was novel, and she was willing to explore the newfound computer systems. While in high school, she also completed training in RPT programming through IBM, at which she excelled. Now accruing more than 40 years of experience in the field, Ms. Adam exclaims that the computer technology industry is always exciting as advancements are continually being made at lightning speed. Ms. Adam attributes her success to the support and encouragement of her family, as well as to her own dedication and passion for her work. Although her career has been suffused with highlights, she is especially proud of winning two awards in 2021 alone for her development of a mobile application. Looking toward the future, she intends to advance into a director position at Entergy Services in order to create a digital transformation for both the company and for their clients.
