Desiring to give the best to her children, LaShon Winstead quit her full-time job nearly three decades ago and homeschooled her children. As her homeschooling progressed, she found other mothers who were looking for similar paths for their children. As such, Ms. Winstead transformed her home into a daycare, thereby introducing her formally to the realm of education. Since 2015, she has excelled as the chief executive officer, president and founder of L & M Mobile Learning LLC. Additionally, she has been the owner and director of All In Together Group Family Childcare since 2000, as well as the owner of the Bricks 4 Kidz STEM Program and the founder and president of Girls Who Build STEAM. Drawing upon certifications in childcare, early childhood education and children with special needs, Ms. Winstead was always interested in STEM. Realizing that it was primarily a male-dominated field, she persevered and has since served as a mentor for young girls who also wish to enter the sciences. In light of her success and drive, she received the Top 100 Visionary Award in Education from the Global Forum of Education and Leadership in 2020. LASHON WINSTEAD
