94 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENERGY, ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING Growing up in the Apollo Space Mission era during the 1960s and 1970s, David S. Greeson was inspired to enter the aerospace industry after watching astronauts walk on the Moon. Attending the University of Texas at Austin, he received a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering in 1985. During his undergraduate studies, he served as an aerospace engineering co-op for the United States Air Force Civil Service in 1982 and for IBM from 1983 to 1984. After receiving his bachelor’s degree, Mr. Greeson joined SAIC, where he was a space systems engineer from 1985 to 1987. Subsequently, Mr. Greeson served as a space systems engineer at Martin Marietta Corporation from 1987 to 1989 and at McDonnell Douglas from 1989 to 1994. Joining the technical staff of Dynacs, Inc., shortly thereafter, he served in that capacity for two years before becoming an avionics systems engineer for Lear Astronics/BAE Systems from 1996 to 1997. From there, he became a proposal management consultant for Steven Myers & Associates from 1997 to 1998, a project risk manager for Futron Corporation from 1998 to 2000 and a systems engineer for L3 Communications from 2000 to 2006. For the following two years, Mr. Greeson served as a space systems engineer for the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory. Since 2008, he has excelled as an aerospace engineer for the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. A member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Mr. Greeson attributes his success to his passion for the industry. He emphasizes that he has always loved the idea of seeing humankind explore space, and he is grateful for the opportunities he has been afforded to aid in those missions.
