From a young age, Monroe Gracie Jr. often watched airplanes at his local airport. Desiring to learn how to assemble and disassemble aircrafts, he was inspired to enter the aerospace industry. For 14 years, Mr. Gracie served diligently as a painter for PEMCO World Air Services, an aviation maintenance, cargo conversion and engineering company. Following this tenure, Mr. Gracie has served as an assembly worker for Gestamp since 2011. Gestamp, formally known as Gestamp Automoción, S.A., is a multinational automotive engineering company dedicated to the development and manufacturing of metal automotive components. Earlier in his career, Mr. Gracie underwent two years of coursework at Alabama A&M University, followed by four years of coursework in autobody maintenance and painting at Lawson State Community College. Notably, he was highlighted on Lawson State Community College’s President’s List in 1995 and Dean’s List in 1996. Although he has achieved much, Mr. Gracie is especially proud of painting, sandblasting and priming aircrafts for takeoff. Looking toward the future, he intends to witness the continued growth of his career and delve back into the aerospace industry. Mike Healy has excelled as the co-founder and chief executive officer of NewColumbia Solar since 2016. Located inWashington, D.C., New Columbia Solar is a solar energy company that operates solar projects across the nation on commercial, industrial, multi-family, nonprofit and faith-based properties. Currently, Mr. Healy’s company is recognized as the preeminent solar energy company in Washington, D.C. Alongside this endeavor, Mr. Healy has thrived in executive-level roles with the Chesapeake Solar and Storage Association and was a founding member of Nextility, Inc. Likewise, he is acclaimed for his advocacy for renewable energy and clean power, having led advocacy efforts for the Clean Energy DC Act of 2018, passed by the D.C. City Council. In addition, Mr. Healy was the youngest elected board member to the National Solar Energy Industry Association, for whom he also served as treasurer of their executive committee. The recipient of the MDVSEIA Renewable Energy Advocacy Award in 2014, he intends to help the D.C. area meet its goal of implementing 100% renewable energy by the year 2032. He holds a BA in international relations and energy policy from Bethany College. MIKE HEALY
