A family-owned business, CAM Services specializes in snow and ice removal in its local area, having been founded by Ms. Dix’s parents decades earlier. Prior to becoming vice president, Ms. Dix was responsible for administrative functions and business marketing and, since being promoted to her current role, she has managed the overall business alongside her brother, Hunter. She is backed by a bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing and related support services from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is a Certified Snow Professional through the Snow and Ice Management Association (SIMA). For their success, CAM Services has received several accolades. In 2020, they earned the Community Service Award through SIMA, who also bestowed upon them numerous safety awards over the course of its existence. Looking forward, Ms. Dix intends to expand CAM Services’ range of work during the summer months, including power sweeping, maintenance and improvement, and power washing. Ultimately, she would like to continue her parents’ legacy with the business. From a formative age, Michael C. Gibbs was instilled with a strong sense of discipline, partly inspired by his parents and grandparents, who encouraged him to work hard and establish his own business. After working for myriad other mechanic companies and in marine repair for several years, he founded Major Mechanic Services LLC in Indianapolis, where he has been serving as president since 2006. Major Mechanic Services is a full-service auto shop that specializes in medium to heavy-duty transmissions and leverages innovative technologies to best service their clients.
