200 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS From a formative age, Frances S. Mckay has served her community through aiding adults with their daily tasks. As the youngest of 13 children, she accepted the responsibility of tending to her parents’ needs as they grew older. When she turned 20 years old, Ms. Mckay began working for a friend who also served the elderly population and, through her friend’s mentorship, she learned how to bathe senior residents in her facility. Over the course of several years, her friend’s business grew exponentially. Subsequently, Ms. Mckay took charge of her friend’s driving contract that transported patients with mental disabilities to their various programs. As a result, she was offered the task of caring for two patients on a permanent basis. Since 1975, Ms. Mckay has excelled as the owner and operator of her own independent adult foster care business. Located in Flushing, Michigan, her adult foster care business oversees activities of daily living of her residents while also assisting with meal preparation, medication management and coordination with medical providers, among other services. Looking forward, she intends to continue aiding the patients in her care while giving back to her community.
