217 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine LAW AND LAW ENFORCEMENT Finding the field of law to be intellectually stimulating, T. Patrick Hannon desired to enter the legal industry during his years spent with the U.S. military. He first attended the University of Santa Clara, where he earned a BA in 1970 and a JD, cum laude, in 1974. For the following six years, he served as an associate for N. Perry Moerdyke before becoming partner of Moerdyke & Hannon in 1982. From 1984 to 1986, he was a partner at Attwood, Hurst, Knox & Anderson while simultaneously serving in a private practice in Campbell, California, until 1997. Most recently, Mr. Hannon was a U.S. Administrative Law Judge for the Social Security Administration from 1997 until his retirement in 2001. Alongside his legal efforts, Mr. Hannon served extensively in the U.S. Naval Reserve from 1979 until being discharged at the rank of captain in 2008. He continues to serve as a colonel for the California State Military Reserve since 2009. During his time in the military, he was an admiral of the Texas Navy in 1998 and an appellate military judge for the Navy Corps, Marine Corps and the Court of Criminal Appeals between 2006 and 2007. Considering his longstanding military service, he returned to higher education and earned a master’s degree in military history in 2015, as well as an LLM in 2017. Currently, he is completing coursework toward a doctorate degree at the University of Nevada, Reno. Mr. Hannon is licensed to practice by the State Bar of California and the District of Columbia Bar, as well as before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of California. To remain abreast of developments in the field, he maintains affiliation with the Santa Clara County Bar Association, University of Santa Clara Law Alumni Association and Kiwanis International. Mr. Hannon was named among the Top 500 Most Influential Professionals by Morning Star in 2021. Looking forward, he intends to continue enjoying his retirement. T.
