As a testament to her success, she was honored with a commendation for providing excellence in pro bono services by the Florida Supreme Court in 2016. Appearing on behalf of a myriad of clients in courts throughout Florida, she represents plaintiffs, defendants, debtors and creditors. Demonstrating versatility in her field, Ms. Kourofsky appeared on Stewart Alexander’s “Let Talk Bankruptcy” series in 2017 and co-authored “Worry-Free Bankruptcy: Conversations with Leading Bankruptcy Professionals” in 2018. In 2018, shemoved south, again, to St. LucieCounty, Florida, where she was the senior civil staff attorney for the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. With her focus back in private practice, Ms. Kourofsky was inducted into Who’s Who in America in 2020-2021 and is once againworking as a civil litigator, appearing in cases all over Florida on behalf of clients. Looking toward the future, she expects continued growth and success, whether in the private sector or as a public servant. Equipped with a desire to help broaden opportunities for others, Amber Kourofsky, Esq., delved into law. She left New York and headed south to Tallahassee, Florida, enrolled in Tallahassee Community College and earned her AA in 2002. Thereafter, she graduated magna cum laude with a BS in psychology from Florida State University in 2004 with a minor in art. Continuing south, Ms. Kourofsky landed in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she matriculated into Stetson University College of Law, earning her JD in 2010. She was immediately admitted to practice law in every court in Florida, including all three United States District Courts (Northern, Middle, Southern) and United States District Bankruptcy Courts (Northern, Middle, Southern). While attending Stetson, she interned for the Honorable Judge Caryl E. Delano, U.S. District Bankruptcy Court, Middle District of Florida. Notably, Ms. Kourofsky earned the William F. Blews Pro Bono Award for her work at Gulfport Legal Services and at the Community Law Program. She was also employed by The National Clearinghouse for Science Technology and the Law and interned at Ideal Image. Since 2015, Ms. Kourofsky has owned AK LAW, AMBER KOUROFSKY, ESQ.
