Bozzuto became acquaintedwith his friend’s father, a combustion engineer, during Thanksgiving. Enthralled by the innovative field of environmental sustainability, Mr. Bozzuto joined the laboratory of Combustion Engineering, Inc., and soon escalated to the rank of technologist in 1982, director of marketing in 1984 and general manager of fluid bed systems in 1986. Attaining several other roles throughout his career, including as vice president of technology, he retired from full-time work in 2004. Since 2004, he has excelled as an independent consultant in electric power generation systems design and combustion engineering. Mr. Bozzuto holds a BS in chemical engineering and MS in chemical engineering, both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He later earned an MS in management from the Hartford Graduate Center. A patentee in air pollution control and advanced energy systems, Mr. Bozzuto is esteemed as a pioneering figure in the power industry and was elected an honorary member of the Council of Industrial Boiler Owners. Alongside his present work, he is a course instructor for EUCI and judge for the international competition, Carbon XPRIZE. INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT Enfield, CT Prakash N. Desai joined the Bechtel Corporation’s Houston office in 1989, where he served as a lead engineer for the first four years. As his tenure with Bechtel progressed, he was promoted to unit engineer in 1993, project engineer in 1994 and senior process systems engineer in 1995. He served as process systems engineering deputy and group supervisor from 2002 to 2005. During this period at Bechtel, he designed and managed projects in the chemical, petrochemical, refinery and polymer industries. From 2005 until his retirement in 2020, Mr. Desai was a senior LNG technology specialist and principal engineer in the LNG Technology Center. Due to his outstanding work and dedication to the field, he was honored with numerous recognition awards from Bechtel. At the start of his career, Mr. Desai worked for General Plastics Corporation, NL Chemicals and Calabrian Chemicals Corporation between 1976 and 1989. Earlier, he earned a BS in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in 1974, followed by an MS in chemical engineering from the City University of New York in 1976.
