Admitted to practice law in the States of Texas and New York, he commenced his career as an associate with Skadden Arps. Mr. Minces remained there for three years before serving Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP for one year. From 2004 to 2007, he was legal counsel and chief compliance officer for Highland Capital Management and, from 2007 to 2010, he was general counsel and chief compliance officer for Swank Capital LLC. Mr. Minces co-founded Blue River Partners LLC alongside his business partner in 2009, which was later merged with IQEQ in 2020. Now serving IQEQ US as chief revenue officer, he specializes in private equity and hedge funds, helping investment managers in their compliance, operations, accounting, tax and information technology services. After Blue River Partnerswas purchased by IQEQ, the company was featured in Vanguard Magazine in 2020. Additionally, Blue River Partners was twice featured in the Dallas 100 by the Southern Methodist University School of Entrepreneurship and was honored with the “Best Place to Work” Award. In his spare time, Mr. Minces serves as a board member of Heart of Gold. Through this endeavor, he hosts an annual golf tournament to raise funds for the organization, as well as raises money for children with heart disease. Regarding Blue River Partners, Mr. Minces has been a pioneering figure in the field by helping the company become one of the first companies to offer third-party corporate back office solutions to the alternative asset industry. He attributes his success to his drive for continued learning and, looking forward, intends to witness the continued growth and success of the company. Ultimately, he would like to acquire more U.S.-based businesses. Michael S. Minces understood the complexities of investment management from a formative age, having been influenced by his father, who was a stockbroker.
