182 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS Diversified in three industries – information technology, counseling and business management – Neil Monette, NCC, has excelled as an information technology director for Optech since the inception of his career in 2007. Congruent to this appointment, he has also served as a psychotherapist with Thrive Life Counseling since 2020, as well as the owner of a retro gaming business, GameStation Arcades. Drawing upon his own hobbies and expertise in video games and computer systems, Mr. Monette cites a highlight of his career to be founding a thriving business surrounded by his passions. Prior to founding Thrive Life Counseling in 2020, Mr. Monette served as a clinical mental health counselor and a child and adolescent therapist at the Life Counseling Center. He was also a supervisor of adoption services at AAA Partners for Adoption, as well as a child and adolescent therapist at the Children’s Center for Hope and Healing. Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Monette feels very honored to be helping clients, particularly children, navigate their feelings and establish healthy coping mechanisms following instances of trauma. To prepare for his career, Mr. Monette pursued a formal education at the University of Georgia, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology. From there, he received a Master of Science in mental health counseling at Capella University. He is currently studying toward a doctorate degree in counselor education and supervision. Additionally, Mr. Monette holds a certification in executive management and business administration from the Harvard Business School and is certified as a telemental health provider, professional counselor, cognitive behavioral therapist and national certified counselor. Looking forward, Mr. Monette would like to experience the continued growth and success of his career. He has maintained affiliation with the American Counseling Association, American Psychological Association, Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, American Association of Christian Counselors and the Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society.
