Furthermore, Mr. Lanois is a Certified Secure Developer, a General Data Protection Regulation Practitioner, a PCI Professional, a Systems Security Certified Practitioner and Fellow of Information Privacy. Mr. Lanois was named among the Most Influential People in Security by SecurityMagazine in 2020, having formerly received the 2017 Social Buzz Award from AIIM Leadership and named a Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Trailblazer by the National Law Journal. Additionally, he was a 2016 finalist for Information Governance Expert of the Year and was honored with the Innovation Corporate Counsel Transatlantic Legal Award, ACC Advocacy Award and General Counsel of the Year Award. Furthermore, he was bestowed with the “Top 10 30-Somethings” Award from the Association of Corporate Counsel. Desiring to combine his two passions for law and technology, Paul Lanois pursued a formal career as an attorney.
