Reel is the founder and president of Through the Eyes of a Rainbow Child, a nonprofit organization established in 2020 with a mission to provide assistance for families in need of financial help with the adoption process. Adopted from Bogota, Colombia, by a New York City couple in 1977, Ms. Reel’s loving and supportive upbringing was the welcoming environment she needed when she sought to find her birth mother 36 years later. With the help of family and friends, Ms. Reel set out on a journey back to her birth country in search of her biological mother and her family. It was that challenging and memorable experience that ignited her renewed sense of purpose, inspiring her to advocate for families looking to adopt. Ms. Reel is truly “self-made.” She began working at the age of 14 in the food service and retail industries. Years later, she seized an opportunity to work at FRYE, a renowned shoe and accessory company, where she worked her way up the ranks starting in customer service to her current position as Senior Account Executive. A serial entrepreneur, Ms. Reel launched Reel Property Group, a full-service real estate company servicing New York, and also co-founded CieloJones, an apparel lifestyle brand. With an intellectual curiosity for understanding how to live a healthy lifestyle, Ms. Reel has also earned her certificate as a life coach with a focus on health and wellness. Ms. Reel attributes her ambition and success to her unlimited perseverance and aspires to work on a book documenting her story. Looking toward the future, she strives for the continued growth and success of Through the Eyes of a Rainbow Child to assist more families in adopting children.
