86 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION Retired since 2013, Dr. William Ronald YaDeau served Millikin University as an associate professor of music from 1978 to 1979 and again from 1980 to 2013. Teaching piano instruction and music theory to beginner and advanced music students, he previously spent four years as an instructor of piano at Eastern Oregon University beginning in 1972. Throughout his career, Dr. YaDeau has presented piano recitals, lectures and demonstrations across the United States, as well as in Slovakia and Belarus, and has maintained affiliation with the Music Teachers National Association for nearly 50 years. He and his wife, Lois, were the first musicians sent to Slovakia under instruction from the Cleveland-Bratislava Sister Cities Association. Drawing upon a BMus from Baldwin-Wallace College from 1968, Dr. YaDeau also holds an MMus and DMA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1969 and 1980, respectively. In 2003, he was notably named a foundation fellow of the Music Teachers National Association, having previously served on their board of directors. Additionally, Dr. YaDeau is a past president of the Illinois State Music Teachers Association and serves as chairman of the board of trustees of Walther Theological Seminary.
