Earlier in his career, Mr. Holland served ExxonMobil as a construction coordinator, senior project nuclear engineer, engineering manager, director of project development and vice president of engineering. He has also lent his expertise to the U.S. government as an energy advisor to the Government of Afghanistan between 2005 and 2006, during which time he was a project director for numerous energy-related projects. Prior to delving into his career, Mr. Holland pursued a formal education at Drexel University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 1968. Shortly thereafter, he enrolled in Stanford University and received a Master of Science in mechanical engineering in 1969. Following his receipt of his degrees, he became a registered professional engineer in the States of Pennsylvania, Texas, California, Ohio and Hawaii. In light of his aptitude in engineering, Mr. Holland was elected a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Outside of his primary endeavors, Mr. Holland frequently volunteered as a sports coach and has served the Christian ministries in North Houston. Additionally, he is a past president of the Lakewood Forest Civic Association. To remain abreast of developments in his field, he has been a member of the American Nuclear Society, American Welding Society, American Chemical Society and International Gas Turbine Institute, for whomhe served as a boardmember. As a testament to his success, he earned a Gold Award from the American Welding Society and the Dean W.R. Woolrich Award for Engineer of the Year for South Texas. Looking toward the future, Mr. Holland intends to continue collaborating with other internationally focused professionals to experience the continued growth of his career.
