110 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION Supported by an AAS in law enforcement from Rowan College of South Jersey and BS in human services, with a specialization in administration of justice, from Thomas Edison State University, Walter R. Anderson Jr. has excelled in academic athleticism and criminal justice for more than 45 years. He first served as a member of the New Jersey State Police for 25 years, retiring as captain, during which time he supervised and conducted EEO/AA investigations and internal affairs investigations, as well as served as a member of New Jersey’s Domestic Preparedness Task Force to address homeland security and counterterrorism. During his tenure in law enforcement, Mr. Anderson also served as a track and field coach for several school districts. Since 2018, he has thrived as a coach for Deptford Township High School. Mr. Anderson has coached eight first team All-State athletes, 11 sectional champions, 31 county champions, eight individual state champions, and 48 conference champions, among others. For his success, he earned the National Black State Trooper Coalition, Inc., Marshall C. Brown Chapter, NJ Trailblazer Award, the Camden County Martin Luther King Jr. FreedomMedal, and the New Jersey State Police Community Service Award. TRACK AND FIELD COACH Deptford Township High School Sicklerville, NJ Since 2008, Linda K. Bailey has excelled as a special education teacher for the Augusta School Department in Augusta, Maine. Prior to this post, she served as an instructor for the Spurwink School Day Treatment Program between 2004 and 2008, having previously served the program as a master teacher. Additionally, she was a family support worker for SFW II at KidsPeace and a mathematics, science and English teacher at Jonesport-Beals High School. Furthermore, Ms. Bailey was an autism consultant teacher at the Auburn School Department, having began her career in special education in 1985 with School District #47. To prepare for her career, Ms. Bailey received a BA in English literature from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 1973, followed by postgraduate coursework at Northeastern University and the University of Maine. Outside of education, she is a contributing poet and co-editor of the North Coast Poetry Review and a contributor to “Anthology of Poets: No End to Fall River.” Although she has had many achievements, she is especially proud of her daughter Shawanna, who was diagnosed with autism at a young age.
