MONGKUO, PHD Supported by a BA in sociology and anthropology from Kenyon College, and an MPIA in public and international affairs and PhD in public policy research and analysis, both from the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Maurice Y. Mongkuo thrived as a professor of public administration at Fayetteville State University from 2013 to 2021. Previously serving the university as an associate professor beginning in 2006, he also served Jackson University as a professor for three years. Earlier in his career, Dr. Mongkuo was the director of development for the Pinellas County Urban League and chief executive officer and research director of Policy Research Consulting, Inc. Dedicating his life to the research of sustainability, HIV/AIDS, and human and economic growth in developing countries, Dr. Mongkuo was especially proud of his contributions to HIV/AIDS awareness in his community. Notably, he earned a Fulbright scholarship to Siberia in 2019, through which he taught for four weeks. He received several accolades in light of his success in academia andpublic policy, including the 2017 Emeritus Service and Leadership Award in HIV Prevention. Dr. Mongkuo passed away in February 2021, but his work will live on. A dedicated teacher with several decades of experience to her credit, Dr. Jacqueline Elder Murren most recently served as an instructional advisor and supervisor of the preschool program and occupational and physical therapy at Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12. Serving the program for 37 years, she also taught graduate level courses at Immaculata University, Wilson College and Pennsylvania State University. Furthermore, Dr. Murren excelled as a learning disabilities resource room teacher and a preschool teacher for children with disabilities, as well as a consultant and supervisor of special education at the Littlestown Area School District. Moreover, she was vice president of the Thunderbolt Education Foundation. Dr. Murren holds advanced degrees from Georgetown University and McDaniel College, and received a PhD from the University of Maryland in 1984. During her career, she established the Ruth W. Elder Memorial Endowment and the Jacqueline &Douglas Elder-Murren Endowment for Literacy – two endowment funds that contributed to the advancement of childhood reading and Advanced Placement coursework for students. For her successes, she was named Special Education Teacher of the Year by the Susquehanna chapter of the Council for Exceptional Children. JACQUELINE ELDER MURREN, PHD
