In addition to working in the business, Mrs. Farrell is responsible for the overall management of her store. Establishing her business in 2015, she is proud to have successfully cultivated a clientele of which she can be proud. Known locally as a fair business owner, she is grateful for the continued patronage of her customers. Entering the industry in 2005, Mrs. Farrell garnered expertise as a framer from a local shop in Roswell, Georgia. When the business closed in 2009 due to the recession, she earned management positions in various corporate frame shops such as Michaels, Blick and Sam Flax. A framing representative later made Mrs. Farrell aware of an opportunity in Rome, and shortly after that, she opened Farrell’s Frame and Design. Looking toward the future, Mrs. Farrell aspires to become more involved in education by publishing books about the industry or teaching the craft. She hopes to become an instructor at the industry’s annual trade shows, which host classes and seminars. Additionally, she aims to spread her knowledge of conservation and preservation framing throughout the field. Supporting her community and her career, Mrs. Farrell is a member of the Rome Chamber of Commerce. She has also been and continues to be an active supporter of the arts, artists and creative community in and around Rome, Georgia. Mrs. Farrell is a member of the Professional Picture Framers Association, which has been instrumental in the success of her career. She earned a Best of Rome Award for Farrell’s Frame and Design on six occasions, with a Best of Rome Runner Up Award in 2019. Additionally, she was recognized with a Chamber of Commerce Emerging Business of the Year Award in 2020.
