Mills notes that her children have always served as a driving force behind her career choices. Involved in the field of social support and learning, she has always sought to ensure that her children’s environments were always healthy and diverse. Ms. Mills received two associate degrees in liberal arts in 1998 and 2011. In 2013, she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology. She also holds a certificate in grant writing and budgeting and Credit Consumer/ Financial Health Counselor certifications. She is ATSSA certified, the ambassador for Dress For Success, and is part of the University of North Carolina Charlotte Alumni Association. Ms. Mills attributes her immense success to her perseverance and drive. Likewise, she is proud of providing social-emotional learning lessons, support groups and resources for students, families, school administration and her community, all while influencing change and growth in the overall academic climate. Ms. Mills has excelled as a social worker, safe school professional, youth mentor/advocate, supervised visitation monitor and genmobile agent, as well as an event flagger in traffic control. Looking toward the future, Ms. Mills intends to continue her success and growth with Mills Brand Financial, LLC, which was established in 2020, as a credit restoration guru.
