WILLIAMS Drawing upon formative experiences as a disc jockey during his teenage years, Charles R. Williams was faced with the decision to either become a musician or hone his craft in completing lighting and production services. Choosing the latter option, Mr. Williams was approached by an electronics promoter, who offered Mr. Williams the opportunity to do production lighting for an emerging disc jockey in his area. The sold-out show housed approximately 600 attendees, thereby fueling Mr. Williams’ desire to progress further in the field. Since 2006, he has excelled as the co-owner and lighting designer at Nexus Productions. Among his many achievements, Mr. Williams is especially proud of being the first lighting designer to design a stadium show for a disc jockey, which took place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. He also designed lighting for shows at Madison Square Garden in New York and the Chase Center in San Francisco. Attributing his success to his hard work and dedication, he notes that he often works over 20 hours per day. Looking toward the future, he intends to continue honing his skills and inspiring others to follow their creativity.
