A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 129 P hysician and neurosurgeon Dr. James Rodney Feild has 60 years of experience in the medical field, having joined the profession because his father was very adamant on his becoming a doctor and his brother becoming a lawyer. He began interning at John Gaston Hospital in 1958 and a year later opened his own private practice in Albany, Kentucky. From 1960 to 1963, he served as a resident in neurosurgery at Baptist Hospital before becoming a special fellow in neurology for the Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research. Since 1965, he has been running a private practice based in Memphis, Tennessee, though he enjoyed practicing medicine and performing surgeries throughout much of his career. Now retired from surgery, Dr. Feild shares his expertise in an administrative position in which he analyzes a number of lawsuits and offers his opinion to insurance companies and attorneys. Certified in neurological surgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, Dr. Feild has shared his expertise in his field. He was featured in the first edition of Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare and the 22 nd and 23 rd editions ofWho’sWho in the South and Southwest. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and is affiliated with the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.
