A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 161 L ong before Dr. Jeffrey S. Grove was recognized as a leader within the osteopathic profession, he developed an interest in medicine through the positive influence of his father, grandfather and uncle, who all practiced in the same field. Driven by a desire to follow a similar career path, Dr. Grove received a DO from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University before completing additional training at Sun Coast Hospital. Shortly thereafter, he launched a private medical practice with Suncoast Family Medical Associates in 1993. In this position, he has become especially well known for his extensive knowledge of Medicare Advantage plans that have been made available to patients residing in the Tampa Bay area. A respected voice in the medical community, Dr. Grove enjoys sharing his passion for osteopathic medicine with other professionals. He has held a variety of leadership roles within his field, most recently serving as president of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, which he considers to be among his greatest career achievements. In 2013, Dr. Grove was recognized as a distinguished fellow by the latter organization. He currently serves as a clinical professor in the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University. When Dr. Grove isn’t busy treating patients, teaching students or mentoring other health care providers, he takes great pride in his secondary career as a Broadway producer. As a managing member of Witzend Productions, he was actively involved in the production of several successful musicals, including “Escape to Margaritaville,” “Tuck Everlasting” and “Daddy Long Legs.” However, he takes the greatest pride in “Once on This Island,” which received the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical at the 2018 Tony Awards.
