A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 237 L eonard L. Mazur, an esteemed figure in the pharmaceutical industry, has been the chairman of Citius Pharmaceuticals since 2013 and vice chairman and co-founder of Triax Pharmaceuticals, LLC, since 2008. Prior to obtaining these positions, he served a number of pharmaceutical companies in leadership roles, such as Akrimax Pharmaceuticals, ICN Pharmaceuticals, Chantal Pharmaceutical Corporation, Medicis Pharmaceutical, and Cabot Laboratories, among others. He commenced his career as a marketing manager of Cooper Laboratories in 1971. The recipient of a BA and MBA from Temple University, Mr. Mazur became interested in his industry when he was in college, as he discovered the life-changing effects of pharmaceutical drugs. Wanting to contribute to the well-being and betterment of the human race, he recalls one of the most rewarding periods of his career as his term as vice president of sales and marketing for ICN Pharmaceuticals in the mid- 1980s. During this time, he launched a lifesaving drug targeted toward a rare respiratory disease that emerged in infants. It is understood that many infants would not have survived it if was not for the remedying effects of this drug. Before joining the pharmaceutical field, Mr. Mazur served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1965 to 1971. Alongside his primary endeavors, he has been on the board of directors of Intellicell BioSciences since 2011 and a trustee of Manor College since 2000. In addition, he is a member of the board of visitors of the Temple University College of Liberal Arts, a role he has fulfilled since 2006. As a testament to his success, Mr. Mazur has received numerous awards, including the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2012 and the Diamond Achievement Award from Temple University in 2005. In addition, he was inducted into the West Catholic High School Fall of Fame in 2009. Mr. Mazur has been featured in numerous editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in the East, and Who’s Who in the World. LEONARD L.
