A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 263 D r. Joseph Constantino Morreale has amassed many years of experience in postsecondary education. Since 1989 Dr. Morreale has worked at Pace University, serving as a visiting research fellow, professor, chairman of the department of public administration, vice provost for planning assessment and institutional research, and vice president of planning, assessment, research and academy support. Currently he serves as provost, a position he has held since 2003. Throughout his tenure at Pace, he has enriched the lives of students in a number of ways, including founding the Chinese economic studies program. Before making a home at the university, Dr. Morreale sharpened his skills as an assistant professor of economics at Western Michigan University and continued to earn teaching positions at universities in Wisconsin, Pittsburgh and New York. Aside fromhis career in academia, Dr. Morreale has acted as a health care and government financial consultant for state and local governments, as well as private firms. He has been invited as a guest professor to numerous universities both nationally and internationally, most recently serving as a visiting professor with the University of Shanghai for Science in Technology from 2009 to 2016. He has continually contributed to the field, specifically as an author of “Health Care Economics” and “Post Tenure Review and Renewal: Experienced Voices,” as well as an editor of “The U.S. Medical Care Industry: The Economist’s Point of View” and “Post-Tenure Review: Policies, Precepts, and Provisions.” Dr. Morreale earned a Bachelor of Arts from the City University of New York Queens College, a Master of Arts and a PhD in economics from the University at Buffalo, as well as a Master of Science in higher educational administration from the University at Albany. He is a member of the American Society for Public Administration, the American Economic Association, the American Education Finance Association, the Association for Institutional Research, the American Association for Higher Education, and the American Council on Education.
