Prior to this illustrious role, he was an associate with Saperston, Wiltse, Duke, Day & Wilson in Buffalo for two years; an assistant general counsel for the National General Corporation in Los Angeles for one year; and a lawyer for Gellman & Gellman for four years. He commenced his career as general counsel for the Conbow Corporation in Niagara Falls in 1961. To prepare for his career, Mr. Parone pursued formal education at the University at Buffalo, where he earned a BA in 1957 and an LLB in 1960. Soon thereafter, he attended New York University, receiving an LLM in taxation in 1961. Returning to the University at Buffalo, he concluded his education with a JD in 1968. A former trustee of the Stella Niagara Education Park for 12 years, Mr. Parone was the president of the Niagara County Bar Association in 1983. Though he knew he wanted to attend law school from a young age, due in part to his uncle’s encouragement, he attributes a great deal of his success to Jack E. Gellman, a partner at Gellman & Gellman. As a testament to his profound success, Mr. Parone has been highlighted in the fourth edition of Who’sWho in American Law and the 66th edition of Who’s Who in America. He was married to the late Josephine A. Zoda since 1965 and is proud of his family, which includes one daughter and two grandchildren. Looking toward the future, he intends to retire in five years.
