Since then, she’s been able to enjoy the feeling of helping others and seeing improvements in their medical conditions by becoming a physician assistant. Ms. Guy, who obtained her PA license from Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science, has been administering care to patients with work-related injuries for nearly a decade, though she has over 20 years of experience backed by various degrees and time served in the U.S. Army. While she is currently pursuing a PhD in public policy and administration from Walden University, she already holds a PhD in public health, a master’s degree in forensic science, and two bachelor’s degrees, one in health science and one in Spanish. For her time in the U.S. Army, Jan has been honored with a Bronze Star Medal, a Korea Defense Service Medal, and multiple awards from the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. She is also affiliated with multiple organizations, including the California Academy of Physician Assistants and the National Commission on Correctional Health Care.
